Here are a few lines about Bo Weavil Blues Band.
They started to play in 1995 as a 2 pieces band. Little Big Mat on vocal / guitar /harmonica and Vincent on bass . After a couple of tours over France, Holland and Belgium, Lulu «The drummer » joined them to complete line up.
Now a days, they are playin' all 3 together and not for fun any more. They will have a debut album out on Lenox Records by the end of 1998. Both cd and vinyl are in their projects. As you can notice after listening to their demo tape, their influances are mostly coming from the 50's. Artists like John Lee Hooker, Little Walter and Lightening Hopkins are their references, not to say idols.
Thats why you will notice: a respeet in their traditional way of playin'. If you like rough blues with a dusty 50's sound, this will be a band for you. They allways enjoy to play as much as they love to travel.
