I started to play the Blues around 1970.

Later on in the ‘ 70s, I formed a band called „ Blue Night „.

It was a kind of experimental rockband. There were no albums made, but a couple of live radio recordings exists.

In the late ‘ 70s, I started to play with different Swedish artists, and appeared on several albums. But in 1987, I had enough of these „ backing up sessions „ and decided to form my own band again.

It started as a Blues Power trio, developing more and more into a Groovy Blues trio. At first the trio was called „Gerfast“, later on  „ Jan Gerfast Voodoo Band „.

„ Jan Gerfast Voodoo Band „ has done more than a thousand gigs in Europe, and has performed at festivals like :

Dresdner Blues Festival, Fehmarn Open Air, Breminale, Midtfyns Festival, Langelands Festivalen,  Ålborg Jazz & Blues Festival, Djurs Bluesland etc...
