You know them all from Sorten Muld, DUG, Blues Brothers Souvenir Show, Puls and DKLokomotive. Now, for the first time they are together in the group Serras.
Serras play music that's alive and kicking, while based on the best of traditional Danish music from the 18th Century. Treasures like the music books of Erik Jensen, Svabonius and Rasmus Storm are revived to leap from the stage anew. Serras also contribute with their own brandnew compositions in which you can catch glimpses of midlaeval drones and the rococo of classical music.
The combination of traditional tunes and Serras provide the fine melodies, a powerful sound and intense rhythm. A playful fiddler with strong roots in traditional music, a saxophone player with a rare knowledge of traditional Danish music, a mean guitarist combine with a virtuoso bass plaver and an incredible drummer to give the driving tight sound that is Serras.
Fusion is a wellknown phenomenum in current Nordic folk music. Serras, however, is something really special.
