Vangsgaard & Pilkington are 2 musicians from 2 different countries, brought together by a love of music whose roots are unmistakably Irish.
As a member of Mac Mortensens Band, Coroboreel and Irelantic, and fiddler at countless Irish sessions in pubs and festivals throughout the country, Louise Vangsgaard is now considered one of the leading exponents of Irish fiddle in Denmark.
Having grown up in Manchester, in the North of England, John Pilkington escaped in order to travel and play in Ireland, America and Scandinavia, where he is now based. Together with his band the Atlantic Wave Band, he has developed an exciting and original sound, which has been described as Celtic Fusion. Together with a high1y individual songwriting style, his music has taken him to countless festivals and music venues across Europe.
