Maj-Britt Kramer - Marie Bergman Benita Haastrup - Jens Skou Olsen
”The four of us have different musical religions, and we have to work towards finding a platform – on a personal as well as musical level – on which we can meet. That is what creates so many special experiences. We have a sound together – a Nordic sound into which an ”international” element is woven.” Marie Bergman in Jazz special.
”The band would give any Euro-jazz ensemble a fright” The Guardian 2002 after a concert i London
Flensburger Tageblatt 2002

Maj-Britt Kramer - Marie Bergman Benita Haastrup - Jens Skou Olsen
It was pure magic when danish pianist/composer Maj-Britt Kramer, the drummer Benita Haastrup, basplayer Jens Skou Olsen and the highly acclaimend british saxophonist Andy Sheppard played together in 1996 – both live and in cd. Their cd#s together ”Engang/Once” 1996 and ”Somethingabout heroes” in 1988 were extremely well received. Not only revievers fell in love with the verz nordic records. The music touched all kind of people.
Their new release ”Who calls the tune” is the culmination so far of collaboration between this band and the swedish singer/songwriter Marie Bergman. The last 3 years the ensemble mainly toured in Scandinavia, Germany and UK. With small exeptions the music has been created in close collaboration between Maj-Britt Kramer, Marie Bergman.
