Professional at age 16 and house-bassplayer at the legendary, original jazzclub Montmartre, Copenhagen, and the holder of an impressive list of engagements with jazzmasters.
Mads Vinding has performed all over the world, produced several records, written filmscores and is recipient of several distinguished jazzawards - 1978 awarded first prize as best soloist in the International Radiocontest NORDRING, The BEN WEBSTER PRIZE in 1982 and Palæ Jazz Prize in 1997.
Bob Brookmeyer is one of the greatest tromboneplayers and arrangers in the world.
In the fall of 1998 Bob Brookmeyer and Mads Vinding recorded a duo CD released on the Dutch label Challenge Records 2000. The music is a masterclass in interplay.
Spring 1999 they joined forces with Danish drummer Alex Riel and recorded another CD to be released on the same label later. On this CD Bob plays piano only.

Alex is considered one of the best drummers in Europe, and has since 1960 performed with most of the great jazz names, a/o. Bill Evans, Dollar Brand, Michel Petrucciani, John Scofield, Gary Burton. He has recorded with a.o. Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster, Savage Rose, Toots Thielemans, NHØP, Joe Pass, Chet Baker, Kenny Dorham.
He was elected Danish jazz musician of the Year in 1965, and was awarded The Palae jazz prize 1993, the Danish Musician Unions Honorary Prize in 1995.
He has participated in over 300 recordings and done 4 albums as a leader.
His CD "The Riel Deal" won the Danish Grammy award 1997. His latest CD "Unriel" features prominent guests as Michael Brecker, Mike Stern & Eddie Gomez.
His new CD "DSB Kino" with Harry "Sweets" Edison, Roger Kellaway & Mads Vinding is scheduled for release later this year on Stunt Records.
