Art of Brass Copenhagen
Art of Brass Copenhagen was founded in 1996, and is today one of the leading professional brass quintets in Denmark.
Their goal is to develop and refine the brass instruments part in the chambermusical tradition, and the recognition of their many versatile and virtouse musical possibilities.
They emphasize the performance of exciting and differentiated concerts at a high artistic level. Thier repertoire consists therefore of both contemporary music, many of whom have been written especially for Art of Brass Copenhagen, and older music originally written for other instruments.
Art of Brass Copenhagen have succesfully participated in numerous international competitions, latest with 1st prize at the "Jan Koetsier Internationaler Wettbewerb für Blechbläserquintet 1999" in Münich, and a 3rd prize at the "P2 Kammermusik konkurrence 2000" in Copenhagen.
